The Parish Choir and Contemporary Music Group
A variety of styles of worship is offered at Leatherhead Parish and care is taken to provide musicians and repertoire best suited to the liturgy on each occasion. Singers and instrumentalists are drawn from the worshipping congregation. At present consideration is being given to the form and timing of liturgy for Sunday morning worship and this will provide a wonderful opportunity for all our resources to be used to best effect, offering a high standard of music, well prepared and performed to enhance the liturgy regardless of style.Currently, there are two distinct styles of Sunday morning worship offered: Traditional and Contemporary.
For the Traditional Sung Communion a congregational Mass setting is used and occasional anthems sung accompanied by our organist David Black.
Music for The Contemporary Communion Service is supported by three worship bands which usually include keyboard, guitar and percussion with vocalists.
We are always keen to hear from instrumentalists and singers who would like to bring their musical gifts to our church.
Please see the contacts page for details.
