Described by USA Review as doing for the Greek soul what flamenco does for the Spanish, Eleftheria Kotzia has toured regularly in Europe, Canada, the United States, South America, North Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Far East.
She has given recitals at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Merkin Concert Hall and the Carnegie Recital Hall, the Herbst Theatre, The Wigmore Hall and the South Bank Centre, the Athens Concert Hall, Les Halles, and the Amphitheatre Richelieu in the Sorbonne, the Jubilee Hall - Raffles Hotel, The Rudolfinum.
Composers Domeniconi, Bogdanovic, Dodgson, Duarte, McGuire, Vasquez influenced by the Greek musical heritage have dedicated works to Eleftheria. She has presented numerous works by Greek composers and has recorded René Eespere’s guitar concerto.
Eleftheria has an impressive list of 7 solo recordings to her credit. Her CD ‘The Blue Guitar’ was selected by Gramophone magazine as a Critic's Choice Recording of the Year.
Winner of the International Guitar Competition in Milan, Eleftheria has been on the cover of the major guitar magazines.

guitare’ (3 vols). Professor of Guitar in the Conservatoire National of Cardiff, Wales (2000- 2016) she teaches and gives classes all over the world.

You have set my star
First we hear a recording of "A day in May" by Miloš Karadaglić.
Following that is a recording of two more Epitaphios, the second of which is "You have set my star." The recording was made the evening following the death of Theodorakis in September 2021. The speaker and guitarist is Antigoni Goni.
She writes:
His songs for me are my grandfather's smile when he was telling me his Makronisos stories, when he was in exile with Mikis for years and years.
His songs are the sound and the perfumes of my childhood; the very reason I ever wanted to play the guitar.
His music is the quintessence of the concept of freedom and of higher ideals and has helped me shape who I am today.

Here comes something we have never done before! This rendition comes from the TV programme The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix, 2016 edition, and its the finals. The singer is called simply "Antoine". In case anyone cares, we should name the coaches: Florent Pagny, Mika, Zazie et Garou !

Traditional dances can take many forms, so here we present two Soustas, the first come from the a wedding at the Royal Chase, Enfield, Middlesex, and the second seems to be somewhere in Belgium. You may notice the word Xapá. It means Joy, Greek.
