Takanori Okamoto
Takanori started the violin at the age of 6, and graduated top of his year from the High School attached to the Tokyo University of the Arts. Currently, he is studying with Prof Levon Chilingirian at the Royal Academy of Music, where he has a scholarship.
He won 2nd prize in the Tunbridge Wells international competition in 2024. Recently he won 1st prize in both the Harold Craxton prize for ensembles, and the Duo prize, which were both held in the Royal Academy of Music.
Takanori also performs alongside award-winning pianist Lily Petrova as part of Duo de Compostela, and with fellow string players from RAM to create the Lucent Quartet.

Peiying Li

Peiying Li is an accomplished pianist, making waves internationally as a compelling artist for her playing. Peiying is currently based in London, pursuing a BMus in Piano Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, where she studies under the renowned pianist Mei-Ting Sun.
Alongside her solo work, Peiying has developed a deep understanding of chamber music and collaborative performance, exploring repertoire for both instrumental and vocal ensembles. She values the communicative and dialogic nature of ensemble playing and aims to build a balanced artistic profile that integrates both solo and collaborative work. During her early training, Peiying participated in several youth competitions, earning First Prizes at the Steinway National Youth Piano Competition and the Macau Piano Invitational Competition. She has also benefited from artistic guidance by distinguished pianists, including Christopher Elton, Colin Stone, and Ian Fountain. |

This does not happen at all often! We have found the same duo performing the Ravel sonata, just a year or so later, at Ordway Center for the Performing Arts St Paul, Minnesota for the Schubert Club:
