David Smith, violin
David studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School in Stoke d'Abernon and London's Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He then became a tutor at both these schools before moving to Glasgow as co-principal of the Scottish Ensemble. He plays regularly with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and is currently performing with English Touring Opera.
Ruth Walters, piano
Ruth Walters gained a scholarship place at the Guildhall School of Music where she went on to win some major prizes on her first study instrument, the violin. She has studied in London and Switzerland with Yfrah Neaman and Max Rostal. Ruth has recorded for the BBC, and is a member of the teaching faculty of the Guildhall School of Music.
Besides numerous solo engagements, she has played with the Miklos and Razumovsky Ensembles,and has been invited to play at music festivals in Switzerland, Norway and Australia later this year.
