Mark Dangerfield
Mark Dangerfield was born in Buckinghamshire in 2001. Having played the guitar since the age of eight and taking part in his local guitar ensemble, Mark began playing in the classical style after being inspired by recordings of Julian Bream. However, his playing retains stylistic influences of flamenco, jazz and rock, as well as folk music, from experience in playing steel-string fingerstyle guitar.
In 2021 Mark was selected for further study of the guitar with Professor Carlos Bonell at the Royal College of Music, along with lessons in composing with Professor Edwin Hillier.
Alongside his studies Mark enjoys a regular performing schedule in London, and is just as comfortable performing in cafes as he is in the concert hall - recently participating in a Coffee and Classical Guitar event at KHP Coffee House in Islington.
As a composer Mark seeks to expand the undervalued classical guitar repertoire, inspired by the art of composers like Heitor Villa-Lobos and Leo Brouwer.

You will notice the wind in the eucalyptus outside the window as well as the superb performance. He is an alumnus of the Royal Academy of London where he studied with Julian Bream and John Williams. He is now based in London where he is an Investment Banking Analyst for Goldman Sachs!
