Sacha Gibbs-McPhee is a British-Australian freelance clarinettist based in London, currently completing a Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music.
Born in Australia, Sacha grew up in a family with a deep passion for art and music, and this was instilled in him from childhood. From an early age, he learned piano from his mother Tara, a professional teacher, and later discovered the clarinet as a means for ensemble playing. During this time, he learned from some of Australia’s best clarinettists: Paul Dean (ex-Queensland Symphony), Martin Crook (ex-Sydney Symphony) and Floyd Williams most notably.
Sacha completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. At this time, he studied closely with the clarinet section of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, with whom he was offered an internship in his final year. During his final year, he performed numerous concerts with the Queensland Symphony, and Opera Queensland, and was awarded the Donald Tugby Wind Prize for 2016.
In 2017, Sacha began a Master of Arts course at the Royal Academy of Music, shortly after performing as a soloist with the Noosa Symphony Orchestra alongside Warwick Adeney, one of Australia’s most prominent violinists and concertmaster of QSO.
Sacha currently studies under Christopher Richards, principal of the London Symphony Orchestra, and Timothy Lines (ex-principal of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra). Highlights of his studies so far include playing principal clarinet under Semyon Bychkov in a performance of Mahler’s Ninth with the Academy Symphony, and performing with the London Sinfonietta, under Pascal Rophé. He has worked and studied with some of Britain and Europe’s most prominent musicians, including the late Oliver Knussen, Mathieu Herzog, Andrew Marriner, and Patrick Messina, and has participated in a side-by-side scheme with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Sacha will complete his studies in 2019, and intends to continue his career in orchestral music, wherever in the world it takes him.

Adam Repa started playing the piano at the age of seven in Warsaw, where he was born. His debut public performance was at the age of ten at Chopin’s birthplace, Żelazowa Wola, in the presence of the mayor. Adam has performed in charity concerts, lunchtime recitals, for the Chopin Society in London (of which he is a committee member) and for the elderly. At the age of seventeen, Adam was the soloist for the first movement from Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 with his school's senior orchestra at West Road Concert Hall, Cambridge.
He has won two music competitions in England: Cambridge Competitive Music Festival, 2011, and Mrs Sunderland Festival, 2015, at the Huddersfield Town Hall. As well as performing, Adam has been asked on several occasions to record contemporary compositions, to play background jazz music at corporate events as well as to accompany young musicians for their ABRSM exams.
Adam has been taught under Joanna Kocik, Siu Chui Li, Gareth Owen, Joan Dixon, Martin Roscoe and Andrzej Jasiński. Being half-Polish, Adam has a keen interest in performing works of well-known as well as neglected Polish composers of the 19th century, including Chopin, Szymanowski, Statkowski and Dobrzyński.
Having completed his undergraduate studies in music at the University of York, Adam is currently doing a master’s degree in piano performance at the Royal Academy of Music under Professor Sulamita Aronovsky.
As well as the piano, Adam plays the organ on Sundays at three different churches in London. In his spare time, Adam gives piano lessons to pupils ranging from children to adults of all abilities. He also enjoys composing his own pieces, which he aims to include in future performances.
