Synopsis:
11 year old Alice is jolted out of her bored daydreams in the school holidays when she meets a talking rabbit who insists she follow him to a mysterious Wonderland . . . In this fantastical place Alice comes across a number of peculiar characters, including a relaxed caterpillar, a happy cat, a depressive hare, a white knight, a romantic duchess, a mad hatter, and a sleepy dormouse, and learns that all is not well in Wonderland: a mysterious (and very cross) Queen of Hearts seems distressingly keen to chop off everyone's heads...

Madeline Castrey
Madeline Castrey is a 19 year old mezzo soprano from Surrey. Her West End theatre and television credits include The Far Pavilions (Shaftesbury), Les Miserables (Queens), Evita (Adelphi original cast) and The Lion King (Lyceum) as young leads. She played Lucy, a leading role in The Basil Brush Show (BBC1/CBBC), performed as a guest singer on Jamie and Anna's Big Weekend (Nickelodeon) and played Young Gillian Wearing in the Turner Prize winners' film Family History.
Madeline also works as a musical director and arranger for Chaldon Youth Choir and Amity Youth Choir who have released a number of singles, for which she has been interviewed on BBC radio stations. She has also started several vocal ensembles and has staged concerts and events raising over £40,000 for local charities for which she received a Princess Diana Award.
Madeline is now studying on the Masters Degree course in Music at The London College of Music with William Robert Allenby after she was the first 16 year old admitted on a degree course. During her studies, Madeline played the lead roles of Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice and Dido in Dido and Aeneas. She was also the proud recipient of the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship and winner of The John Ireland Prize for singers in 2016.

Melodie Hornett
Melodie Hornett is a dramatic soprano currently working towards her MMus in Classical Performance. Melodie has been singing throughout her adult life in a number of different guises, starting in Musical Theatre, moving through Rock, Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Swing, performing regularly with functions bands, at Burlesque events and providing studio vocals for demos and recordings. As well as appearing in many principal Musical Theatre roles, Melodie has also coached vocals on youth productions of Les Miserables, We Will Rock You, West Side Story and Joseph. Melodie made the leap to Opera a year ago whilst studying under international soprano Janice Watson at the University of Chichester, where she gained a First Class BA (Hons) in Music Performance.
Melodie is now a full time student on the Masters programme at the London College of Music, under the instruction of William Robert Allenby. She has been overwhelmed by the discovery and development of her dramatic soprano voice since training with William and is startling to tackle some of the biggest roles in Opera. At LCM, Melodie recently appeared in Will Todd’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, alternating the coloratura role of Bottle and dramatic role of the Duchess.

Alice Pearson
Alice Elizabeth Pearson is a versatile young soprano who is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Music Performance at the London College of Music under the vocal tutelage of William Allenby. Having previously studied an undergraduate degree in music at the University of Chichester under Susan Legg and William Allenby. During her time at the University of Chichester she has enjoyed exploring a variety of roles from Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, to numerous roles within the Gilbert and Sullivan canon including Celia in Iolanthe and Fiametta in The Gondoliers as well as participating in the chorus for The Pirates of Penzance and Mabel in selected scenes from the same operetta. In addition to these Alice was also an integral part of the creative team for a student created and lead show Oh Rapture! which was comprised of various scenes from Gilbert and Sullivan’s best loved operettas and was toured to Leatherhead, Guernsey and Sark.
While at the University of Chichester Alice had the opportunity to work in masterclasses with acclaimed industry professionals such as Janice Watson, Louise Crane and Jonathon Veira. Frank St John
Frank St John has been singing at the highest level since winning the BBC Radio 3 Youth Choir of the Year in 2008 as a member of the Taplow Youth Choir, under Gillian Dibden MBE. Since then, Frank has gone on to sing for several decorated choirs, including the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, under Ben Parry, and the London Youth Chamber Choir, under Suzi Digby OBE.
Frank is an accomplished character baritone and has performed many operatic roles, including Doctor Bartolo, in The Marriage of Figaro; Don Alfonso, in Cosi Fan Tutti; Eisenstein, Die Fledermaus; Aeneas, Dido and Aeneas, Don Alhambra and Luis, The Gondoliers; and Lord Mountararat, in Iolanthe. John Wood
John Wood is a tenor based in London. Originally he started his career performing in Musical Theatre in such shows as; Godspell, Singing in the Rain, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Sweet Charity, plus many more. John works frequently on The Brighton Fringe scene and graduated recently from The University of Chichester with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre.
After graduating, John began studying a Masters in Opera at the London College of Music, with British baritone William Robert Allenby. This summer John will be performing in Opera Holland Park’s production of Puccini’s La Rondine.
John also works as a freelance choreographer. Recent engagements include Die Fledermaus with Opera Integra and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland for LCM.
After graduating, John began studying a Masters in Opera at the London College of Music, with British baritone William Robert Allenby. This summer John will be performing in Opera Holland Park’s production of Puccini’s La Rondine.

William Allenby
The British bass-baritone William Robert Allenby has gained a reputation as a versatile singing-actor in a wide variety of repertoire. He is also in demand as a singing teacher, vocal coach and lecturer.
William made his debut with the Royal Opera Covent Garden, and has appeared regularly as a guest artist with Welsh National Opera, debuting as Dr Bartolo in Barbiere di Siviglia and English National Opera, since his debut as Wilhelm Reischmann in Elegy for Young Lovers (Henze). He has also worked as a soloist with Scottish Opera and has developed a close relationship with Opera Holland Park in London, most recently appearing as Simone in Gianni Schicchi and Monterone in Rigoletto.
William made his Glyndebourne opera debut in 1996 performing small roles in Arabella, La Traviata and Eugene Onegin. He has also sung in World and UK premieres at the Linbury Studio (ROH), and with Opera Ireland, Musiktheater Transparent - Antwerp, Iford Festival Opera, New Sussex Opera and Mid Wales Opera.
In addition to his performing career, William is currently a Professor at the Young Artists Programme and Opera Academy of Polish National Opera in Warsaw, a Vocal Professor at the London College of Music, and a vocal tutor at the University of Chichester.
