Recordings of the works in today's concert
Gioachino Antonio Rossini (1792-1868)
from the opera The Barber of Seville
Largo al factotum Make way for the factotum
(Figaro's first entrance)
Here is a piano version of this famous baritone aria, Its range is perhaps more suited to a tenor as it covers from D within the bass clef to the high tenor A !
Should you prefer to listen to a full performance, with baritone and orchestra, the second video is of Korean baritone Tae-Joong Yang. These days he can be heard with the Vienna State Opera.

Magnus Gustav Adolf Lindberg (b1958)
Jeux d'Anches for solo accordion (1990) Reed stops
Here our recording is by Iñigo Mikeleiz Berrade himself. The recording was made at the Brunel Museum, Rotherhithe.
Johann Sebastian Bach (1985-1750)
Italian Concerto BWV 971
Allegro • Andante • Presto
Here is the Chinese player Dannong Wu, playing in Detmold Concert Hall in June 2022. He pursued advanced studies in Germany and Switzerland with Prof Teodoro Anzellotti and continues to be based in Germany, where he specialises in playing classics.
Sofia Asgatovna Gubaidulina (b1931)
Et Exspecto sonata for bayan (1986) [8:15]
II & III Presto
Most of the online recordings are of the complete sonata, so it was good to find this recording of the same two movements we shall be hearing at the concert. The player is Vincent van Amsterdam who is at the Bimhuis.
Franck Angelis (b1962)
Étude on Chiquilín de Bachín by Astor Piazzolla
The lad at the café Bachin, Buenos Aires
This beautiful performance comes from accordion / bayan player Ksenija Sidorova, playing with a string quartet.
Here is Piazzolla's original song, to the text of Horacio Ferrer. Piazolla, Ferrer and their 'crowd' frequented the café Bachin, in Buenos Aires.
It is not great quality, but we have the delight of a recording with Piazzolla and his first Octeto Electrónico. The singer is José Angel Trelles who toured with the Octeto, and so got to perform with them in Carnegie Hall.
